NY Fashion Week

It's that time of Year again, the summer may be gone, but fashion week is back!

We have been trawling the internet over the past week to get a good insight in to what's been going on those runways and we have not been disappointed. Despite the eager desperation to want to watch the Opening Ceremony show with their satirical black comedy performance created by Jonah Hill and Spike Jonze and starring Elle Fanning, We've decided instead, to give you some of our favourite looks from on and off the catwalk this week.

There's a military feel to the Rag and Bone Collection

It was a pretty evident homage to The Beatles in the Tommy Hilfiger Show

Victoria Beckham gave us a brilliant selection but this cross safari jacket/trench coat was our favourite.

Come Rain or Shine

So you may be as curious as we are to know where exactly is that mega mega heatwave that was supposed to bring with it the hottest British summer in over 300 years...

Well with the news hitting home that we are experiencing the back lash of a hurricane, and it being two weeks in to the supposedly hottest month this year, I think it's safe to say we may have already had our summer and its rain rain rain until next year.

Even if that is the case, we can't let the rain ruin our few remaining weeks of potential sun, some of you lucky sods could still be jetting off to foreign countries anyway, leaving all this miserable greyness behind. Others could be in for a hard time with Reading and Leeds fast approaching and wellie's are becoming more essential by the hour.

With the either or situation this weather has bought with it, we think it's essential to research both sides of the spectrum when it comes to fashion. Prepare for both and then you'll always look good.

So our advice is.... Get your wellies out!

Here are some of our favourite Rainy Day favourites;

This is a festival/rainy day collab and we love it!

Because when does Alexa Chung not get it right.?

Colour blocking in the rain. Always a winner to keep that summery vibe.

Wellie's the essential element of festival attire and these three ladies know how it's done. Especially Millie Macintosh's leather shorts and cropped top with the camo overall. Topped off with a floral headband. We love it.

And because we love Ashley Benson at the moment. The face of H and M Divided does not let us down with her on trend grunge look.

And just to make you feel better and not so depressed that we're happily blogging about rainy day outfits in AUGUST

Here's our favourite summer looks this week

We'll have lots of our women's summer range going up this week on our ASOS Marketplace Boutique so keep your eyes peeled Vintage shoppers

Festival Frenzie

Over the last few weeks we've been ever so busy organising our warehouse, prepping and trading at Glastonbury, and trying to re-vamp our online store. Ultimately it's been a huge challenge and we are about half way through our organising and online re-vamp, so still lots of exciting times ahead. Yet it's still very much on the down low so we won't spoil anything for you just yet.

Instead we decided to blog today about our Glastonbury experience and some of the trendy pieces we've got on sale for the current Festival Season.

Glastonbury 2014 was an experience unlike any other, we've attended a few festivals as E-vintage yet nothing can compare to the wonderment that is Glastonbury. From the minute we stepped on to the site, it was pretty evident to see how people get the bug for this festival, the effort put in to the creation of even the simplest food stall could blow your mind.

We traded in the Dandy Lion Vintage tent in the Avalon fields which felt very much like home by the end of the week. We made some great friends and networks with our other traders and hopefully will be back with them again next year!

We had some amazing customers, some who returned more than once to shop with us and we learnt a lot about trading in such a big festival. We want to say a big Thank You to all of our fellow Dandy Lion Traders and all of the customers who came along, even some who just came to say Hello, it was a pleasure meeting you all.

Now the festival season is in full swing with Love Box starting today, the infamous Reading and Leeds coming up in August and not forgetting one of our favourite's, Bestival ending the festival season in September, and we still have lots of festival fashion goodies on sale now at our ASOS Marketplace boutique.

As promised to many of our customers, we were going to run a flash sale of our Glastonbury stock, which is still in motion and more stock will be uploaded within the next week. In the meantime why not have a gander at what we've got on offer, don't forget to follow us on Instagram, @Evintage1, and tag us in a photo of you and your E-vintage piece, we'd love to see them and one lucky customer could be in with the chance of winning some E-vintage Goodies, so get on those selfies Vintage Shoppers.

Here comes the sun

So the sun was out at the beginning of the week, yet it's been taken over with some dark and heavy rain clouds.

So whilst the clouds bare over us and the rain pours,we've been dreaming of the return of the hot hot sun and in preperation we have selected our favourite celeb summer outfits this week.

Olivia Palermo in double floral, perfection.
Whilst Jenna Dewan Tatum rocks these floral printed pants

And Chloe Sevigny looks amazing in this floral crop and braced denim skirt.

Dita Von Teese keeps it cool with a stunning floral print dress and retro sunglasses
Whilst Eva Mendes looks beautiful in this flowing summer dress

And Taylor swift in her adorable 50s style floral

Whilst these three blonde bombshells show you how to dress up denims in different styles, Kirsten Dunst is stunning in this retro denim skirt, over sized sunnies and sandals. Sarah Harding keeps denim in style with this acid wash play suit ,short sleeved pastel and on trend creepers whilst Agnes Deyn teaches us that grunge is very much still in, with the 90s plaid shirt tied around the waist, denim hot pants and khaki vest.

And finally our summer favourite, the Boho dress. With Heidi Klum in this stunning boho maxi, whilst Daisy Lowe and Florence Welch are keeping in style with the white lace and floral two piece.

And not forgetting the always on trend Kate Bosworth in this boho print summer dress paired with gorgeous sandals and over sized glasses.
